Albergo Athenaeum is located in a strategic position between the historic centre of Palermo, the motorway network, the University of Palermo and the city’s main Hospitals and Health Institutes.

It is only a few kilometres from Monreale, from the entrance of the Palermo-Agrigento and Palermo-Sciacca State Highways, and is easily accessible by train, by public transportation (bus and metro) and by automobile – it is easy and safe to park in the hotel’s large, covered parking area.

How to reach us

From the Airport

From the airport, take the motorway in the direction of Palermo to the city limits. Proceed straight on past the exits for Via Belgio, Viale Lazio, Piazza Einstein, Via Pitré and Corso Calatafimi.

Take the exit for Via Ernesto Basile and continue over the bridge, being careful not to take the exit for Sciacca.
Follow the signs for the Stazione Centrale (Central Train Station) on Via Ernesto Basile.
Near the end of Via Ernesto Basile, you will find Via Giannettino on your right. Turn onto this street and a short way down on your right you will find Albergo Athenaeum.

From the Palermo-Catania Motorway

From the Palermo-Catania Motorway, once you have entered the city, take the exit for Via Ernesto Basile and continue over the bridge, being careful not to take the exit for Sciacca.

Near the end of Via Ernesto Basile, you will find Via Giannettino on your right. Turn onto this street and a short way down on your right you will find Albergo Athenaeum.

From the Port

Leaving the port, take Via Camillo Benso Cavour in the direction of Piazza Verdi. Proceed making all obligatory turns onto Via Pignatelli Aragona, Via Goethe and Via Corso Alberto Amedeo until you reach Corso Calatafimi. Turn right in the direction of Piazza Indipendenza. Proceed around three sides of the square and then turn right onto Corso Re Ruggero. Follow the road onto Via Brasa, which becomes Via Ernesto Basile. As soon as possible, make a U-turn onto the opposite carriageway of Via Ernesto Basile. Near the end of Via Ernesto Basile, you will find Via Giannettino on your right. Turn onto this street and a short way down on your right you will find Albergo Athenaeum.

From the Central Train Station

From the Central Station proceed up Corso Tukory until there is an obligatory right turn. Make this right turn. Take the first left. At the end of the road turn right and proceed down the hill. At the bottom of the hill turn left and go up the hill and turn right into Piazza Indipendenza. Make the first left, and then left again at the intersection. Move immediately into the right lane. Turn right onto Corso Re Ruggero. Follow the road onto Via Brasa, which becomes Via Ernesto Basile. As soon as possible, make a U-turn onto the opposite carriageway of Via Ernesto Basile. Near the end of Via Ernesto Basile, you will find Via Giannettino on your right. Turn onto this street and down a short way on your right you will find Albergo Athenaeum.
